Philippa Dennis

Certified ADR Divorce Coach

Based in Auckland, Aotearoa (New Zealand)

I am more than a divorce coach: I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. My own experiences, including coming from a family of divorced parents and being a divorcee myself, have shaped my perspective and purpose. Recently, I found love again and remarried after meeting my husband at the tennis club, which has added another layer to my understanding of relationships and transitions.

With two adult children – one married, one engaged – I understand the complexities that family dynamics can introduce into the divorce equation. My personal journey through divorce was deeply life-changing, and while it was challenging, I wouldn’t change a thing as it has shaped me into who I am today.

Why I do this:

My personal experiences, coupled with my professional training through DCA, have reinforced the importance of empathetic listening. I believe in not just hearing words, but also listening between the lines to understand what is unsaid – and more importantly felt. This ability helps with the creation of mission-oriented plans that prioritise your wellbeing, your children’s needs, and the interest of your wider family.
